No stone. Just wire.

Each earring is a single length of copper, bent back on itself in a series of switchbacks and finished with a coiled spiral at the tail. Then the whole thing is hammered flat, which both work-hardens the metal so it keeps its shape and leaves the faint planished texture you can see along every edge.

Wire stiffens as you work it. There is a limited number of bends available before the metal turns brittle, so each one has to be right the first time — and the second earring has to match the first closely enough to read as a pair. That is the part that takes practice.

There is no mould anywhere in this. A second pair would come out differently.

Copper left unlacquered, so it will darken and warm against your skin over the months. A soft cloth and a little polish brings it back if you prefer it bright.

Light, long and graphic. Wear them with a plain neckline and hair up.
