Czech glass has been made in Bohemia for seven centuries, and the region is still the world's source for pressed glass beads.

Each bead is formed by pressing molten glass into a mould, then finished with an iridescent coating that shifts colour depending on the angle you view it from. It is why the same bead reads amber from one side and violet from the other, and why the bracelet never looks quite the same twice.

The palette runs rose, teal, amber and violet across a mix of shapes — long ovals, faceted rondelles, small rounds — with pink seed beads keeping the larger beads from crowding one another.

At the top sits a cobalt blue sea turtle. Turtles carry meaning across a great many cultures: longevity, patience, steady progress. This one gives the bracelet a focal point without weighing it down.
