Crimson Sea Glass Lariat Necklace
A slim scarlet seed bead rope studded with gold-capped glass, finishing in cascading branches of red sea glass — the rarest colour there is.

Red is the rarest colour in sea glass, and it is not close.
Most sea glass comes from bottles, which is why white, brown and green are common. Red came from ship lanterns, old car reflectors and expensive tableware — glass coloured with gold or selenium and made in far smaller quantity. Collectors walk beaches for years without finding a piece.
The branches here cascade down both ends of the lariat, fanning outward as you move and catching light along their frosted edges. That soft, matte surface is what sea glass is: the sea slowly leaching soda and lime out of the glass until it stops reflecting and starts to glow.
The body is dense scarlet seed bead, slim enough to knot cleanly, punctuated with flat red glass discs capped in gold. That gold is the only warm interruption in an otherwise single-colour piece, and it keeps the red from reading flat.
No clasp, so no fixed length. Knot it high at the collarbone, loop it twice for a shorter layered look, or leave it long and open.
Wear it with black, cream, camel or denim and let it do the work.
