Turquoise and red coral have been worn together for a very long time.

The combination runs through Tibetan, Navajo, Berber and Persian jewelry independently — different continents arriving at the same pairing, because the two colours sit opposite one another and each makes the other louder. Turquoise for protection and sky, coral for vitality and blood. The symbolism differs by culture; the visual logic does not.
